PRP therapy uses platelet-rich plasma. It is a natural, safe and unique procedure to restore and rejuvenate the skin.
Patient’s own blood is used for the procedure. It is taken from patient’s vena into a special test-tube and centrifuged to separate plasma with platelets, which is rich in bioactive substances and growth factors, stimulating the regeneration of skin and synthesis of elastin and collagen. PRP procedure does not have any immunological or allergic reaction. Thin needles are used to inject small amounts of platelet-rich plasma into problematic areas at every few millimetres. The activated platelets stimulate regeneration of the skin, slow down aging processes and allow enjoying brighter, smoother and more elastic skin.
PRP procedures can be applied on face, neck, décolletage, or hands. It is used in the following cases:
– To provide brightness to tired, dull, pigmented skin;
– To slow down aging – to rejuvenate and stiffen skin;
– To treat and prevent hair loss;
– To recover skin affected by various procedures (laser, chemical peelings, etc.).
The skin is thoroughly cleaned before PRP procedure and then a thin needles is used to inject platelet-rich plasma into the dermis.
The procedure lasts about 30-60 minutes.
Skin sensitisation and soreness can be felt after the procedure. Insignificant bruising may occur in the places of punctures. The procedure provides a long-lasting effect, which starts in 2-3 weeks after the procedure.
In order to achieve the best results, a course of PRP procedures is recommended. It is decided by a doctor based on the patient’s age and state of the skin. It is recommended to repeat the procedure annually.
